Welcome to the Real Estate Management and Development (REMD) website.

The Real Estate Management & Development Group (REMD) at Eindhoven University of Technology combines multidisciplinary real estate education with interdisciplinary research possibilities focusing on the demand side (consumer/user) aspects and the space/place characteristics of real estate. The REMD Group oversees studies leading to a 3-year BSc, 2-year MSc and PhD degrees. The Group is comprised of eight faculty members and is part of the Urban Management and Design Systems unit in the Department of Architecture, Planning and Building. 

Real estate education began at TU/e over 15 years ago with courses in building economics which were soon followed by courses in management.  Education rapidly expanded to address broader questions of strategic management and development focused on a variety of sectors of Dutch real estate: retail, housing, workplaces, mixed use and larger districts and neighborhoods. The program draws from a variety of disciplines – management, architecture, finance, marketing, planning, psychology, geography and economics among others.
